Been very busy since my last blog post with shows starting again, new style prints to launch ...and watching plenty of football with my son!The show season started again last month and is now in full swing. A belated happy new year to you all! January and February are always a strange couple of months for me, it seems to be taken up with accounts, tax return and booking shows for the coming year ... but this year it has included going to watch plenty of football! It's that time of the year when the outdoor shows (and sleeping in my van) are coming to an end and it's time to start the Christmas shows! It is also that time of year when I get a few days free to photograph some stadiums. Before my latest road trip I had photographed 88 of the 92 league stadiums, my plan was to capture the last four! Back in August I was booked to exhibit at the Bakewell show, a great little show right in the middle of the town. When I was within twenty minutes of the showground I received a phonecall saying my marquee was flooded and I would not be able to exhibit! The option was to turn around and drive back down the A1 or visit the North West and photograph some stadiums ...the North West won! I immediately rang Oldham Athletic to see if I could photograph Boundary park the following morning. They were playing a Manchester United reserve side that night...
