About David
My first visit to a football stadium took place on January 10th 1979. Southend United were playing the mighty Liverpool in a FA Cup third round match. Although I remember little about the game, I do remember standing on the concrete terrace of the West stand watching the snow fall against the floodlights. My love of stadiums has stayed with me ever since.
Many years later I am now a full time photographer travelling the length of the country and beyond capturing these sporting places of worship. The resulting photographic montages can now be purchased in various sizes within the shop on this website. With over seventy stadiums now captured there is a good chance your own ‘21st Century cathedral’ will be featured, if not then please contact me and I will add yours to my wants list!
When I am not photographing a stadium or exhibiting at various events across the country I am spending time at my home in Leigh on sea with my wife Ellen and two children Oliver and Ruby.
…back to 1979, Southend United drew 0.0 but lost the replay 3.0. I have been watching Southend at Roots Hall ever since.
